We dressed Dakota up in a lion costume given to us by our friend Lizz. He is just so cute and growing too fast. He is very alert and loves to look at the world around him. He knows how to get his socks and shoes off without even using his hands. Yes, we have a Houdini on our hands. So to keep him warm, I have invested in black and navy tights. (AKA baby long-johns so Dad does not get upset that his son is wearing tights:) Now Dakota reaches for everything, with great accuracy, including whatever Mom is eating. Ironically he does not like to eat anything other than breast milk. Man do I wish he would eat solids! Lately he has been nursing every 2 hours, around the clock. Oh well. As many people keep telling me, "this too shall pass." In the mean time, Dakota has become more mobile in his walker and I have learned to knit to unwind in the evenings. I am proud to say that I have knitted 5 diaper covers and I am working on a pair of pants for Dakota now. I will post pictures of them when I have finished dyeing and lanolizing them.
My latest fetish is to take pictures of Dakota in these adorable hats given to us by Lizz. Dakota doesn't seem to mind, as long as they don't get in his face.
My friend Lizz recently moved to Pennsylvania with her two boys and husband. We miss them much and really appreciate all the cool handy-downs.
Happy Halloween/Happy Harvest to all,
Lisa, Monty & Dakota
