So I finally learned how to knit after tons of help, from my friend Ashley. Ashley has been so helpful and patient with me and I can't say thank you enough. I guess I should have started with something easy like a hat or a scarf, but nope. I wanted to make diaper wool covers, and diaper covers I made. (Wool is super absorbent, a natural material and has anti-microbial properties which require less washing.) It took me 4 trys to get it right, but that's ok, they are just going on my son's butt anyways:) The diaper covers pictured are tries 2, 3 and 4. Not pictured is try number one. He wears it but no one sees it. I am also proud to say that I hand-dyed them myself. The pretty red, blue and green are actually dyed using food coloring. Ashley made us a pretty orange one. I am almost finished with cover #5. It was made using a different pattern and I hope to dye it teal. I am also working on a pair of pants for Dakota. Check out the close-ups and tell me what you think.
